We would like to congratulate Malibu team athlete Regina Jaquess for being selected as USA Water Ski’s 2017 Female Athlete of the Year. It is the tenth time she has earned Female Athlete of the Year honors.

In 2017, Regina took the Women’s overall championship at the Malibu Open, capturing gold in slalom and silver in both jump and trick skiing. At the Water Ski World Championships in France, she won the Women’s overall title for a record fourth time in her distinguished career, and also claimed gold in the Women's slalom for the fourth consecutive year.

Regina wrapped up the year by winning the women's jumping title at the King of Darkness night jump, which took place in December at the Isles of Lake Hancock in Winter Garden, Fla.

In her spare time, the resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., also helped with the development of the all-new Malibu Response TXi. Well done, Regina!
