The Marine Marketers of America (MMA) awarded Malibu Boats for the best innovation and video marketing in the marine industry. The competition has only grown with time, and this year marked the 11th year for MMA’s Neptune awards with 172 entries throughout the 20 categories. Each year, the MMA awards only the top industry leaders, and it was truly an honor for Malibu Boats to be the one of a handful of companies to receive multiple awards and the only towboat manufacturer to be recognized.
This year’s most highly-contested category was video production with 25 entries, proving that video marketing and its sharing capabilities are gaining in popularity as a competitive marketing tool for the marine industry,” said Sally Helme, MMA vice president and Neptune Awards co-chairperson in the Neptune Award Press Release. Innovation is something that Malibu has put at its forefront for customers from the day that it was founded. With huge industry innovations such as the Malibu patented Surf Band™ and Power Wedge™ III, we also wanted to prove our innovation within the world of marketing. For 2018, we released video animatics to help visualize the very intricate technology that Malibu puts into every boat. While live action video can show each individual component in action, it’s hard to get a view of the underwater elements. Animatics are produced with the aid of computer animation with special visual effects. This was a huge undertaking and we are honored to be recognized by the Marine Marketers of America.
