Malibu Boats was founded on innovation in 1982, and it has continued to be on its forefront since. Rejecting “good enough” as a substitute for state-of-the-art, Malibu began a dedication to innovation that continues today across all aspects of the business. In 2012, Malibu released our patented Surf Gate™, revolutionizing the world of watersports as everyone had known it. It has also released industry firsts such as the first wake specific hull, the Wedge Hydrofoil now in its current iteration, the Power Wedge™ III, and to this day, Malibu is the only company that produces sport specific hulls for its models. We continue to advance state-of-the-art innovation in watersports boats manufacturing and no competitor can match the features that Malibu introduces.

While it is easy to see the innovation that goes into our products, Malibu’s innovation is not limited to its products. As a company, processes have been implemented to ensure and increase safety for every employee which has led to a true manufacturing milestone. Malibu achieved over three million safe man hours without a lost time incident, and to celebrate, we gave away a brand-new boat to a randomly selected employee.
